Tone Colour

The two pieces, Arirang for Gayageums with 18 and 25 Strings and Guyun: El Maestro, have a similar tone colour. Tone colour, also known as timbre, is a term that describes the quality of sound in music. Both pieces are performed at adagio tempo with similar string instruments. So they deliver similar soft and mellow tone colour to listeners.
